I literally ran into Chachi today at WOD and I said ” Chachi I love you” and she (instead of blatantly ignoring me) said “I love you too”
I might have died a little.

I hope you dance
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small when you stand by the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you’ll give faith a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance

Ballerina Aesha Ash was recommended to leave the corps of the New York City Ballet. She had been told that she’d accomplished all she could as a Black dancer. After the decision to leave, Ash joined Alonzo King’s Lines Ballet where she soared. She’s been featured in Pointe Magazine, Dance Magazine, New York Times, and San Francisco Chronicle. She was also the dance double for Zoe Saldana in the film, Center Stage.
